for the record, i did follow the post on reddit but it didnt make it to neutral, she was still evil when i killed the demon whose name i cant spell. she wanted to do the ritual and i refused and she dumps me.
i had her pay for the dagger she stole
i privately spoke to her about the tavern murder and told her not to do it again
and i went through the act 4 scenario perfectly.

Take her in the prologue (if you take Lann in the prologue you can't romance her). To start her romance, at some point in Chapter 3 she'll either approach you on her own, or you can approach her in Drezen and ask to have sex, which starts the romance. There are three points that affect the outcome of her romance. In general, you need to speak frankly to her during these events, and to not play into her S&M side. The first is when she steals the dagger from the One-Eyed Devil. Scold her, then give her money to pay him back. The second is when she kills the soldier in the tavern. Agree to handle it privately, then admonish her and importantly don't have sex with her. The third is in chapter 4, after her quest. If you're on her romance she'll trigger an event where you treat wounds she sustained in battle with Savamelekh's goons. Pick the option where you tell her that you think she's beautiful, then pick the option where you tell her that she doesn't need to put up a strong front around you, and that you'll be there to support her

I think some of this is different now, in ch3 if you scold her she just run off angry, you have to choose the other options to get the chance to give her the money to pay for the dagger.

That's not all though, if you only do this she'll leave you after her quest in the Abyss for a while and betray you in the last act. You need to find Dyra and her notes + a book that you need to give Wenduag. I didn't do those two things in another playthrough and she betrayed me, once I did them I got the lover ending not the soulmate one though. ( The lover ending is she leaves to the demon in act 4 but end up siding with you in act 5 ) Wenduag romance is seriously not easy to understand we really need a walkthrough step by step and I say this when I have the dialog effects in Toy Box activated the outcome are hard to understand even with them.

just a few days after she kills the guys in the tavern thing, go talk to the mongrels in the city and they say that dyra dissapeared then check the graveyard

The tavern event should happen after you've brought the mongrel back, you'll get a dialog about Dyra going missing with the Chief of the mongrels and Wenduag. Once you've found the body ( it's in the graveyard ) go talk to the chief and wenduag again, in walls of the house closest to wenduag and the main gate you'll have to succeed in a perception check to find a brick in the wall with a book and a letter from dyra that she suspects wenduag of working for the demon in the beginning when you're in the maze.

Once you have this letter DO NOT accuse wenduag she will leave and I don't know if she comes back. Tell wenduag to keep the book because enough people died for it. When wenduag talks with her mongrel soldiers tell her "I'm going to play your game Kneel" something like this and you'll get the second flag that she respects you.

The last one is if you find her talking to the demon after she leaves your party in the abyss ( it's in the same building where you fought all the mongrels where she tells you to go ) pass the stealth checks and later on don't tell her directly that she went to see the demon but insinuate that you know she did. That should be the last respect flag as far as I remember

I am doing Wendaug's quest at the moment... I am assuming (common sense here) that you have to prevent her from killing Lann and force her to compromise on her ambitions for the mongrels. Demonic strength at the cost of the mind is a net negative, and the mongrels need to be aware of what they are getting into. Romancing will certainly make the latter easier.

EDIT: Looks like if you try to convince her not give up the mongrels Lann kills her. So you probably need to go the Lawful route so that Lann doesn't die.

Not 100% on that, but if that is the case I'm not super fond with the idea of taking some one as a partner without already being ok with who they are before hand.

Curing someone's trauma through the force of love is a popular fantasy and I'm all for it in games. In real life it is a great way to lose half your ♥♥♥♥ if you're a man or become a single mother if you're a woman.

Within the context of the game world I don't actually have an issue with Wendaug's behavior. Lann is the weird one...

Just want to point out that you don't need to be a Lawful character you just need to make 2 or 3 Lawful choices ( don't remember exactly what they were but it was being honorable and not join the duel, say that Lann is the one that is acting against the tribe, and the last is letting Lann leave ).

It also seems that having sex with her after the tavern event and telling her that she was right unlocks one of the RomanceTrue flags.

The scene with the mongrels happen after you went to Neatholm but at which point I'm not sure, I've done the Dyra investigation and the event still hasn't popped up I guess it might be after the Ivory Sanctum.

I didn't know about the RomanceTrue flag in the tavern event, someone on reddit said you shouldn't have sex with her at that moment I guess they were wrong, quite sad that I missed that I might reload near that moment then to try it out.

For the lawful choices does not change anything about her respect or romance, some choices do affect it even if it's not obvious like if you choose ( good ) dialogue choices she doesn't seem to be very happy about it, wether it affects her romance or not though I haven't tested but since she points out that you never "pitied" her when you succeeded in the romance I guess it does matter.

Edit : I've checked and there is no RomanceTrue flag if you have sex with her at that moment. The flag is : WenduagRomance_BarksAfterSex_flag, which doesn't say wether or not it let's you get the soulmate ending. Also to be noted, the fact that the flag's state changes is *not* written in all the info you see before clicking on a line of dialog.

Wendu does have a trio of RomanceTrue flags, and a trio of Respect flags.

Basically, the lines of dialog seemed to be that you need to get her to understand that you care about her, and you want her to not be hurt by her own actions—but like you said, hard to understand.

I think I know what's going on, did you choose the [Demon Mythic Path] choice in the Maze at the beginning ? Because I chose the Angel one might be why I can't get the RomanceTrue flag and I got the other one instead.
