How do we get rid of negative quirks, please?
One of my dudes got a negative quirk in the tutorial mission! Is there a way during game play to remove negative quirks? I sure hope so. I REALLY don't want to play through the tutorial for a third time. It seemed inevitable anyway, as there was no way to reduce stress enough on the first dude towards the end of the tutorial mission, and it just maxxed out and boom . . . negative trait.

I sure hope there is a way to remove them.

Don't l know if you can remove negative traits, but you can skip the tutorial

Hmm. Well that's pretty lame if you can't remove them. They can be pretty brutal from what I've read, and to have no way to get rid of them is no good.

So, there is no way to remove them!?

No. Stress mitigation is an important part of the game. There's a character that can reduce stress. You can rest in the bunker room.

if anything i think its too easy to remove stress, im always going into the bunker with 0 stress

Stress is a minor issue until you get the vermin-perk that you accumulate more stress during combat. Then your squad is pretty much guaranteed to go insane once per mission.

If anything I would up the normal stress gain a tiny bit but reduce the stress gain while under the vermin-perk.

To allow for more finetuning of the stress mechanic the stress cap could also be numerically doubled and stress gain/loss adjusted accordingly.

a key part of stress management is the tactic Wait it Out, which is two characters hunkering next to each other, and gives -5 stress to both.

i also think the perk that gives stress reduction when you kill 10 vermin is quite nice when you fully upgrade it. i will agree that the vermin event is a little overtuned right now and that stress isnt as important when the event isnt up

I think a special mission with a payout of removing a negative trait would be a cool addition.

It's just another thing to quest for that has risk and reward associated. And it has neat potential as a narratively interesting adventure. Maybe it could be the party sidetracking to save an orphange. Or maybe you're clearing out the PC's personal home to get some sentimental thing. There's a lot you could do there.

That is a great idea, claiminglight! I would definitely enjoy missions with a reward of removing a negative trait.
