How to upload to Youtube in 1440p?

I tried changing the resolution in that first tab in the upload screen, and setting the resolution to 2560 (which changed the second value to 1440), and then exporting to Youtube, but when the video was processed on Youtube, it only played in 1080p max. What did I do wrong? Yes, the footage was captured in 1440p. Thank you.
