No optimisation
I like the game.
However, it is system demanding. With my RX580 - 25-35 FPS (High-Medium settings). I know its my problem - I can't afford myself purchasing thousands-dollars PC. Today Dying Light 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 give me up to 60 FPS. But, yes, after more than year of patches.
Hope optimisation patches will be made ASAP. According to other themes/posts there is almost:
1) no difference between my video card and, for example, RTX 20.../30...;
2) no difference between middle and high graphic settings.
I would be happy to play with at least 60 FPS. However there is even no FSR. I think for modern "heavy" games it's a must-have feature. I need to wait half a year or more to get adequate 60-70 FPS, really?
Also it seems there was no Day One Patch for this game for PC. Or maybe this patch even shouldn't even have been existed in the first place. Correct me, if I'm wrong.
This game should have been the birthday present for me (from myself :steamhappy:) but I am so dissapointed for now.
PS: I don't know if developers read these themes but I hope they do.

Ok, but we already have many fantastic looking games that also run on normal PC systems. Why does it have to be EVEN more fantastic? I certainly don't need to be able to count every single hair in a game, every single pore on my skin, or every single grain of sand on the walls. I too would wish that the developers would focus more on the options available to normal players, instead of just racing against the technology, which is becoming more and more expensive for the player. A Plague Tale Innocence looked great and ran great on most regular PCs. The developers could have used exactly the same graphics for the successor. It doesn't always have to be STILL higher, STILL further, STILL better. Sometimes just a fantastic is enough.

Not bad,i get around 37-44 on my RTX 3060 TI at 1440p high settings dlss/rt off.
I played Cyberpunk and Dying Light 2 and both ran way better, and Dying Light 2 i played it on release.
This game is just poorly optimized, the devs only focused on fixing bugs and making it playable of high end gpus (rtx 3080 and up).
Gonna have to wait at least a few months to play this game properly,if they even bother adressing the performance issues.

What you're asking for isn't optimization, it's magic. You want your ancient hardware to run all the latest demanding games. That's just not happening.

Whoever told you that there is no difference between your card and a RTX 20 series and RTX 30 series was smoking crack. They wipe the floor with your old RX 580, which is basically about the same power as the old Playstation Pro. You we're lied to

I was thinking the same. I mean yeah the game look exceptional no doubt but in a world where a GTX 1060 was always enough for 1080p 60fps HIGH, I was expecting to get 60fps on something like a 1070 or 1080 but a direct jump to 3070 for 60fps is way too much. Yes the game looks good but still not 3070 1080p good.

pff rtx 3050 16gb ram + DLSS + low setting = 15-25 fps...

Yeah,,, 1080ti 60 FPS flat on Cyberpunk with High Setting, and this game give me 30 FPS...
60 FPS on RDR2 as well...
I wish Developer use Ancient GPU to see with their own eyes, how their game Running...
not using 4090ti to test their game...

Use low-medium settings, if it is kept at 30fps it is perfectly playable and enjoyable.
With my RX 5600 XT in Ultra 1080p, I get 30fps stable and I'm very happy.

I'm not asking for magic. I realize my GPU is quite old. However when games like Cyberpunk 2077, Dying Light 2 and RDR 2 run way 2x better than this on high graphics settings I'm a little disappointed.

This is happening with at least several other AAA games. But I suppose not this one.

Just read other other themes and posts. I'm not imaging things. Yes, difference is like 5-10 FPS sometimes. It's not what it should be.

I would love to see you post a video of these games running at 60fps on that card.. :Pooop:

I understand it good enough. But according to the info Steam sometimes asks gamers and shows that there are a lot of gamers that still use low-middle range GPU. Not everyone have high-end systems to run every game smoothly.
