Spatial audio not selectable?
If i enable dolby atmos or DTS sound unbound in windows.

In the game it does not detect it and you cant enable it?

Stuck using 7.1 audio from my creative X3?

Whats the point of having a Spatial Audio support if the game dosn't detect its been enabled?

I have the Steel Series Arctis Pro with Gamedac, which has DTS Headphones x: v2 on it, and I am getting Spatial sound with in the game without even selecting Spatial sound in the game.

So to me it looks like if your sound device has it's own spatial sound that the game will still have spatial sound without needing to turn it on specifically.

Yes I know that, but if a game says it supports spatial audio, I will always turn off my sound cards processing, set it to 2.0, and use either Dolby Atmos or DTS sound Unbound app.

Its always much better when implemented in game, which this game does have. Its just not detecting that spatial audio has been enabled.

I prefer the height information, which my sound card will not do in normal 7.1 audio.

having the same issue with my Cloud S. 7.1 won't allow me to use dolby acces and the only way is to switch to mono for the program to enable the spatial sound, yet the game keeps the option grayed out. is it that by headphone is not compatible with spatial sound or am I missing something?

The way this game handles 3d audio is a little strange but allow me to explain. The in game slider will always be locked (greyed out). It will either say 'Yes' or 'No' depending on whether or not your sound device has a spatial sound format selected in the Windows audio settings for your sound device. Windows has a spatial sound codec built in called Windows Sonic for Headphones but its disabled by default. Just turn this on and your 3d Audio setting in game should now show 'On'. If you have access to it, the Dolby Atmos for Headphones is available and it does a marginally better job. You probably don't have access to this unless your headphones came with it. You can download a 7 day free trial of Dolby Atmos for Headphones by installing the Dolby Access app via the Windows store. If you want to keep it after 7 days, it costs US$14.99 (probably not worth it but your ears can decided).

i have creative ae5plus connected via optical to my logitech z906 speakers . All games work by default in dolby/dts . Games who have special button in game are more customizable . All sound are playing perectly in this game in rear or front speakers

Its not a scam, if you actually tried it, it does work and does a very good job placing sounds above below and all around you.

A lot of time has been spent developing the tech, and its pretty much nailed it.

Yes i agree you cant beat having physical speakers laid out in a room for atmos..

But spatial audio when done right, is pretty good now when using dolby atmos or DTS..

Just play overwatch with a pair of headphones, it uses Dolby atmos built in to the game..

Its verry effective..

Then you have hesuvi which is a binural setup for headphones, for those who do not have Dolby assess, this uses 7.1 but still very good, and lets you input pre configured setups for every headphone type.

I do have dolby Access, and yes it probably works in game, but the fact the game menu is not detecting spatial audio tells me that there is an issue.

Even if i switch to creative which out puts a 7.1 speaker setup in windows, still the game greys out spatial audio.

No its an issue in the game.. Yes this is normal when you enable Dolby Acces, it will automatically set your headphones to 2.0 stereo. As this is how Dolby access works. Its like a binural setup..

Issue is within the game, bad programming.. I doubt they will fix this, as not many ppl will be using spatial audio.

My issue isn't whether im getting the surround sound, my issue is the game menu telling me that its own setting for spatial audio is greyed out.
