the bolts are there but they are rare outside of mandatory arena fights so you have to use them sparingly. However if you rush to the upgrade that allows you to recover bolts after firing them it becomes way easier to stay stocked.
Thanks for the note, but it would have been much more entertaining if Amicia could collect enough of them.

You can upgrade how much you can carry.
Oh yes, the very rare working benches, oops, not enough stuff to do that ;-))

Sounds like you need to do a better job of finding secret chests, they are both workbenches and a good source of upgrade materiel. I personally had all three crossbow upgrades by the midpoint of chapter 7 and basically never ran out of bolts form that point on, it's honestly kinda op.
I know, i'm just bad at this game and in the meantime totally frustrated of 1001 death scenes and and aged 10 years. For this reason as well as in order to see the final some time i would like to have infinite bolts.

Playing hard I got the upgrades to not need benches or tools. I found the secret benches but since hard barely gives you knives I only opened a few.

You have infinite rocks compared to the first game where you at max of 30. But I don’t blame you the game is as clunky as the first game.
The first game was less frustrating, except the final battle. I never finished the game completely. Although i was thirteen years younger. I guess, this game also ends for me without the credit scene.

Id argue the second boss from the first required more effort then the final boss. Then again he didn’t follow any rules established in the game. Plis it’s not like your playing ninja gaiden or doom eternal. You can always use the god mode in this game.

Oh, i've forgotten these feature, thank you.

Crossbow is the last resort. You're only supposed to use it in emergency when the sling won't cut it. It's designed this way on purpose. If you had an abundance of crossbow bolts then it'd break the game and everything would have to be redesigned. Besides, I always found games like Skyrim where you can carry thousands of bolts and arrows to be a little unrealistic and stupid. The brief realism of Requiem is refreshing - you actually feel much more like a desperate girl doing her best to compete against men. I'm sick of seeing 50 kilo chicks wipe out legions of 100 kilo men. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tiresome.

The final battle in Innocence was easy. It's simply a matter of dying a few times until you learn the pattern and what you're meant to do... then it's blitzkrieg
No bolts? Rofl there are UNLIMITED bolts once you onlicked the bow upgrade that I went straight for. And the game is still more or less medium difficulty on "ultimate on NG+"

Also the are bolts in the world everywhere. They are stuck to walls of other objects in the game. Open your eyes.

The limted bolts at least make the game somewhat interresting early on BECAUSE of the limitation you can just shoot everything that moves. You need them for helmets and armored only anway and you have more than enough tools and evoirment to kill every single enemy easy.

You sound like someone who plays games on story mode and with trainers if they not give you OP ♥♥♥♥ to have no challenge.

This is why people keep saying the game is short, everyone just rushes along the path and don't explore the map for secrets. Work benches aren't that rare.
