Amicia is a terrible human being
It is so baffling playing a character like her. She is the most destructive monster and the main villain of this series. She is consistently wrong about every single action she takes in this game. EVERY SINGLE time. She and Hugo has a body count in the thousands because she is so blind as a char she can't even see obvious red flags. You can't even make the excuse that she is desperate. She makes wild assumptions based on nothing, gets thousands of innocent people killed, doesn't see red flags that are very obvious to every other character (even Hugo the five year old kid calls out). But then tries to defend her and Hugo's actions. I can't think of a single time in this entire game where she did one thing that was good. She is a monstrous dictator that will kill anyone who dares get in her way and it's almost scary how villainous she is in this game.

Amicia has PDST and loves her brother and protects him. And its a "fairy tale" relax.

It's definitely fantasy and not a fairy tale. but how does that excuse her from being stupid and a monster who kills people for fun? Pretty much every other character, including her brother thinks she's insane and morally wrong. And her so called love for her brother is so toxic, she's willing to murder other innocent people just to save him.

at one point in chapter 10, Hugo even tells her she is stupid for doing all of this and that other innocent children are being murdered because of her. But nope, let's keep torturing this little boy and bringing on the plague in the name of love.

They were likeable enough characters in the first game but in Requiem i found them insufferable. Arnaud and Sofia are easily the best characters in the game.

At what point did I say I don't like her because she is a woman?

They were great characters in the first game. And completely agree about Arnaud and Sofia. I actually feel bad for them in this game. Especially Sofia.
PDTS: POST- DETECTION- TELEMETRY- SUBSYSTEM. That's the desease from which Amicia suffers?

Being at chapter 10 gog version. Not seeing why people praise the plot, I think I can see what will end up happening which makes the game feel more padded then anything. Just confirms with Amaicia and Hugo they didn’t have much for a sequel.

I just finished chapter 13 and I feel like I'm feeling the opposite of what the writers want me to feel. Something happened in chapter 12 that I felt was supposed to make me feel bad but all I kept thinking was Finally somebody is taking charge. I was actually rooting for the bad guy the entire time. That's how bad the writing feels right now. It's making me hate the main characters.

Obviously since Hugo mentioned the island, I was like “okay so when do we get there” it’s in chapter 8. Only to get another clue with some forshadow. I swear with all the fantasy stuff was added late game in innocence it’s just gotten worse.
Funny to get this upset about a stupid story, but you are right. Typical women, driven by emotions and not logic. She should have realized early one that she needed to kill him. Their mother and ANYONE would in a realistic story just be after him not to use him, not to lock him away but straight up killing him.

Games and movies NEVER make sense if you analyze them. I mean they would never throw them into a cell "for the executioner" they would straight up kill them even if they would not know he brought the rats. And they for sure would not hesitate to kill Huge. The game kind of tries to make this logical because people do not know it's him people know, people would tell. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ alchemist would know and come with an army to kill him instead of trying to cure him.

People will come up with the most stupid and ridiculous stuff to justify stories like this. It's best to just admit it and deal with the fact it's just another made up story that makes no sense. They need to have an excuse for a girl to become a mass murderer while still remaining "good". They do it in every movie and game, they did in Tomb Raider ...

Just enjoy the games and do not think about how logical the story is.

^ I mean they have a mass body account since the first game. Which handled there relationship a bit better. Plus the narrative was interesting enough until the high fantasy crap in the second half.

I don't think you know what "dictator" means, but either way your kinda exaggerating don't you think? She's an emotionally traumatized child just trying to protect her brother whom she loves. Yes her actions aren't exactly rational and have destructive consequences but her motives are sympathetic.
She is ultimately in the wrong, just like her mother, the Order and the Count's cult are also wrong but that's kinda the point of her arc, how much is she willing to sacrifice to save the ones she loves and can she except that there is most likely no way to save him and that she's just making things worse. Their story is a ultimately a tragedy after all.

So no different then the original given how the kill count in that ended.

Between both games Amicia's kill count is around a couple of hundred at most, unless the player chooses to go out of their way to kill as many enemies as possible, almost all of which are hostile soldiers actively hunting them.
