TV show in the works…

I’m excited for it. My only concern is the political upheaval France is currently going through. I wonder if that will affect the show.

On a cheerier note who do you think would make a good Amicia, Hugo and Lucas? Who would make a good Vatalis?

I hope they focus on the culture and society of 14th century, and not the woke era we are in. If they make it authentic, respecting the lore of the game, I will watch that series.

We could talk all day about who would be perfect for Amicia and Hugo, but it will not matter in hindsight (even if we have a fun hypothetical).
Look who they cast for The Last of Us TV show and compare how those characters looked in the original 2013 game. I believe it is best to keep no expectations at all for western television and movies in their adaptations; they have a very poor streak of poorly adapting the source material.

Also, it would not hurt to buy a physical copy of Innocence for the PS4/XBox. I have a feeling the original version of how the characters used to look will be altered in the future (again, see the re-releases of the last of us)

I can't agree more with you !
I just hope they will stick to source material if they do so that would be awesome, but as you and many others i'm really sceptical , time and again people were hyped for nothing , Rings of Power, Witcher, Tlou and many others failed , so as much as i love Plague tale games i don't like so much idea of tv show , just because i don't want them ruining game name for fans

These shows are produced by Netflix, HBO, etc. According to my findings the Plague Tale show will be made by French studio and a French director, in cooperation with Asobo Studio, so it might be different in this case

That's good news. I can't say I enjoyed the story of Requiem, but the source material is certainly interesting enough to evolve into something great in the hands of a professional French screenwriter. Thank you, I have it on my radar now.

The fact that it’s a French director and French Studio is the only reason I’m optimistic. Hollywood here in the States has gone off the rails. Every franchise they touch is a platform for their politics.

I might be wrong saying that, but I belive that the closest thing to that is if they take actual siblings (IRL) to cast Amicia and Hugo, that may be the best option. Again I may be wrong, the voice actors in game did a perfect job presenting their relationship in game.
