4080 users any ?
Game stutters at the very beginning, i set everything to ultra and RT shadows on and DLAA toggled on as well, motion blur and depth of field off, i see terrible stutters and the game play is choppy. Any fixes ?

Apperentlly RT causes sttuters, it's a glitch that hasn't been fixed yet, so try turning that off.

Yes RT causes stutters. But you don't need it as the game looks so much better with it off.

Agreed. DLSS Off & RT off. Runs better, looks better.

DLSS/DLAA work fine for me, but RT has to be off.

DLSS is in fact required to get the game on 60 FPS @4K with RTX3070ti

All of a sudden after chapter 6 my game just freezes... I still hear audio but I have to force quit. I am using a 4080

With RT on my frame rate halved and it ran like a sick dog. Not that it's great with RT off, of course, but now at least it's not too bad (better than Dead Space and the Callisto Protocol).

I tried RT on, but I also have a 2070 and it went as expected. It always halves my frames and in practice it doesnt exist on the card anyway^^ No trouble keeping 60fps constantly with everything (except motion blur thats ofc going off) on max on 1080p, dlss off, no stutters at all.

A 4080 should be able to run this much better than my old hardware and have no trouble maintaining framerate with RT on

Yes it should, the reality is that RT causes stutters, even without influencing framerate much. That said unless the stutter is so severe that the game freezes, you won't see mach change in framerate, it's frametime you should be concerned with, and that is where the stutters get noticed.

This is a different metric, while framerate tells you how many frames are rendered per a unit of time (secound), the frame time refers to the time needed to generate a single frame idealy for a smooth image on a 60 FPS render, the frame time should be arround 16,7ms, but in reality this jumps all over the place, so instead one moment you may have 16.7 another 12,2 and than it may jump to say 18ms, it will still manage to get you 60 FPS, but they would be generated at irregular pace causing a stutter, you won't notice this through framerate, because you are still geting 60 FPS, but the stutter indicates that the frames are rendered at different intervals, as GPU is strugling to render a frame, as the scene is changing (eg. when moving the camera), it's hard to determine whether this is the engine fault, or driver or even GPU on a hardware level, but it is most likelly software issue on the game level, as it started happening as soon as RT was implemented in game.

DLAA is perfect. Set everything on ultra and turn on ray traced shadows as i really liked some of the open world grass and lighting effects made the game more grounded beyond how beautiful it already looks. What worked for me in case of those panning stutters was turning off vsync in game but forcing it under Nvidia control panel. Also setting your max frames to just above where you get the worst stuttering effects (near towns with lots of NPCs or heavily detailed areas) helps almost eliminate it. I tried to target 80-100fps on my rig (7800x3d+4080) and the lows were not far from 60fps so that helped too. Also try lowering your in-game camera sensitivity a bit to bring it closer to console like camera movement, weird tips but they helped me :P

Try this solution - limit fps to 60fps and use dlss3 frame gen to get back up to 120fps. Turn mouse sensitivity down as well.
