steam\userdata\53462490\1182900\remote\
Maybe rename all files in that folder or move them to a different folder (while game is not running) and see if that helps.
For me the folder path is this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\971133620\1182900\remote
I deleted the entire folder 971133620.
Still the problem persists.
I tried eveyother option.
Thanks for your reply.

You can also open the file via Notepad. Look for ray tracing settings and if any are set to 1 change it to 0 and than save.
See if that helps and if not we will give more suggestions to try.
I found the solution to my problem!
But first I want to thank the fellow gamer who replied to my post:
@ Ultimate Despair
@Furry Chipmunk &
@ animal_PLANET for your responses.
Here it goes:
1. I disabled the " Enable the cloud synchronisation " option in Settings menu of Steam App under CLOUD settings.
2. Then disabled the cloud saving for the game properties. Right click the game under library and select properties.
In General section, uncheck the " keep game saves in steam cloud "
3. Then the final step, Delete the folders and files for the GAME ID.
the path in my PC is :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\971133620
4. Restart the Steam app and Viola! the game runs!
But the sad part is that I Lost around 12 hrs of game play.
Anyways, it worked.
Thanks again for the community to helping out!
Enjoy the GAME!
FYI. That is your user data to all games. Inside that folder should be another labeled 1182900. That is requiem's save folder which should of been deleted.
You may have gone on and just deleted saves for other games so check on that. Undo the delete if you still can from recycle bin. Than delete the game folder again, but make sure your new saves are backed up before doing this.
It sounds like your save file at some point became corrupted. Than it synced the corrupted saves to the cloud. To prevent this. Make sure when game is closed it fully synchronizes before closing steam or shutting down computer. So if its still blue give it a sec as its still syncing.
I would also do a manual backup from time to time. Just in case you have an issue with your drive and its causing file corruption. This way you dont lose so much time.
Last, when new save file/s have been created. It is safe to re-enable steam cloud and it will overwrite the old corrupted files. This way you can have both an automatic backup and manual one.
Hope this helps you out!
My enjoyment seems short lived...hmm...
I closed the game and when I tried to reopen it, JUST CRASHING !
It seems my game saves or settings are being invalidated or being corrupted after closing the game. I mean if I shutdown the game and opened the next moment--- CRASHING at white screen.
Don'y guys are not having this problem.
I just formatted my system and did a clean install of OS Win 11 and everything after that.
I think the STEAM application is the problem.
ONE LAST last time want hear what you guys have to say to resolve this problem.
Then also the same ♥♥♥♥ repeats, I am gonna get a refund and purchase it on XBOX.
Note: I disabled the CLOUD sync but after this happening I enabled and synced to cloud, thought it might replace the corrupted saves in cloud but in vain.
Any other way to resolve this? I have been up to chapter 8, I think; played 45 hours mostly 12 hours playing the same game for this issue.
Any help is much appreciated!
In my experience, crashes without any commonalities are often caused by overheating (mostly GPU, but can be other parts of your PC as well). Programs like HWInfo help you to check the temp of your machine. You'll need to check google or other sources for the temp that each component can take.
I don't think temp of my hardware is an issue. Because, when I played after deleting all the settings in the folders mentioned above for a straight 12 hrs. It did not happen then.
But when I close the game and re-opened to play then it just crashes.
If I deleted the settings then, the game shall move past that white screen and shows input setting file corrupted.
I need play all over again.
Either Game developer should resolve or steam should push update.
It sounds like a hard drive issue. It could be failing. Or, your laptop does not fully support Windows 11. Do you have your drive encrypted by chance?
I would go to the laptop's manufacturer website and see what chipset, controllers, and drivers work and are available for Win 11. As well as make sure you have the latest BIOS. Make sure it is compatible with Win 11.
You also have an integrated GPU (Intel UHD 630), and dedicated GPU (NVIDIA GTX 1650). Make sure you have your 1650 set to preferred graphics processor in NVIDIA control panel.
You could also check to make sure your game settings file and save files are not set to read only. Which would cause issues.
What are your in game settings set to? Have you tried putting everything to low? Just to see what happens and if that helps at all?
Make sure all non essential programs, services, and tasks are disabled when PC boots. This will help avoid any conflicts with other programs. Especially since you only have 4 core CPU it will free up resources.
Even Windows Security, Windows Defender or Anti Virus can cause issues with games. Make sure you add your steam and game install folders to the list of exclusions from real time scans and system scans.
Also make sure xbox game bar, game mode, and captures are all disabled. As well as GPU scheduling. I would also recommend you do not install GeForce Experience with NVIDIA driver.
What you could do as I suggested above is make a backup of your save file but do so before you exit the game.
This does not sound like a steam or game issue, but an issue with your laptop. Just need to troubleshoot why.
