Bug towards the end of Chapter 11
Towards the end of Chapter 11, there's a bug that can hinder progression for keyboard and mouse players. After the big reveal, you'll be put on a chase sequence running back upstairs. After Sophia tells you to turn left, and you pass through it, the mouse controls become sluggish when the ceiling starts collapsing. Essentially I'm not able to steer Amicia properly up the stairs as I need to stop moving and move the mouse, or she'll run into the wall because the mouse aiming becomes very sluggish at this point unless I stop running and reorient the mouse. If I don't, then she'll end up running into the wall. Either way, she'll get overwhelmed by the rats.

The only workaround for this problem I've seen so far is to play using a controller. I've tried bumping up my mouse sensitivity during this section and it's made no difference.

Hope this gets fixed asap, thank you.

I beat the game with mouse and keyboard, didn’t have any issues you described.

This happened on two different systems and only in chapter XI's chase scene up the tower. Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it's not real.

Not saying it isn't but so far in the last 12 hours and since the games launch no one has reported your specific issue.
i just encountered this bug myself

I have this same issue; I can't finish running up the stairs. After you turn left, the controls don't work, the camera becomes sluggish, and the rats catch me. I've been trying to run away from them for the last 20 minutes. I can't do it. The characters get stuck somehow. It's very frustrating. How do you get past this issue?

After looking up online, I found a german player who found a solution to this bug: Go to Settings>Gameplay and change Sprint from Hold to Press. Then, you no longer need to hold down the SHIFT key to sprint. You press it once and then use the direction keys (WASD) to control the movement of the characters. Like that, you don't get stuck anymore, and you can outrun the rats without dying over and over. I can't believe the devs didn't test and identify this issue. You have this problem each time you have to outrun the rats. The default setting for Sprint should have been Press instead of Hold, at least on PC.

I plugged in my X360 controller for this section. I prefer playing Requiem with keyboard and mouse because when playing Innocence with a controller, the auto aiming can get too sticky. I know there's an option to reduce the auto aim in Requiem, but since I started with keyboard+mouse and was entirely comfortable with it, I didn't feel the need to change until I encountered this bug.

Thanks a lot! I'll give it a try later!

I too have encountered and get past that on keyboard and mouse. I have re installed the game couple times to see if that would help

Disable Hold Shift to run to Press Shift. This helped me turn properly when running up the stairs.

Almost 2 years later and I just had this problem. I had to get my wife to hold shift for me when I got to that part. Somehow it didn't even cross my mind to change shift from hold to press.

Still, over 2 years since release how have they not noticed this problem and patched it?!
Same issue here, i used my controller to get past.
