High temperature while playing
Hello, for some reason I get high temperature while playing this game, my gpu goes from 75 - 98 degrees then stays on 98 and then my pc crashes when it reaches 100. I reduced all the settings to low and turned off anything that requires high graphic settings, still the temperature does not change. My pc specs are amd ryzen 7 3700x, 32 gb ram, gpu amd radeon rx 5700 xt. I pass at least the minimum specs to play but yet I gpu is overheating while playing, I even recently cleaned my pc tower case and cleaned and added new thermal paste, yet nothing has changed in the temperature while playing.

Are your gpu fans even turning?

Probably the best solution would be to change GPU's thermal paste. there are youtube videos showing how to do it. However, if you aren't sure about your ability to deal with the issue at hardware level, at least clean fans. They're likely full of dust.

This is a very demanding game, what is your resolution? I have RTX 3070TI FTW3 from EVGA, and had temps go up to 85-90 C, for comparison other games can push temps up to 70-75 C, I had to max out the fans on GPU using Precision X1 just for this game.

I played on 4k res.

You can try the same with fans, also if your GPU has dual-BIOS, make sure it's set to OC or performance rather than quiet. Also make sure your GPU is clean, and even I would put some High quality thermal paste, something like Kryonaut or KPX, max out the fans, and if all that doesn't help, try playing the game with open side panel , yes it will be noisyer and will introduce a faster dust buildup but it will help cooling your GPU, especially if it's a vertical mount.

I tried this game for a few hours. In Game Settings are performance with vertical sync ON FPS steady at 60. Graphic Card temp Max 55C steady. My card is a 2017 RX 580 8GB Black Edition clocked at 1150 MHz VRAM is 2700 . Resolution is 1920 by 1080p LED Panasonic 47 inch TV. This graphic card is matched to a Ryzen 3600X 3.8 GHz CPU with 2400Mhz Team Group RAM. No issues during game play. The case fans and CPU Plus graphic card fans are auto ramped during gameplay. PSU is a Corsair 1200 Watts. If you have a lesser powered system it can be quite difficult with performance with this game. Most games I play are Simulator based.

I also found out that regardless of your rig configurations having the FANS on All Components auto ramped helps alot with temp control during gameplay. The higher your settings the higher the running temps with air and liquid cooled rigs. Just my opinion folks. I hope you can resolve your rig issues with this game. Cheers

This is a 'you' problem unfortunately. As crypto miners (boo) can attest, you ought to be able to run your graphics card at 100% 24/7 for months without experiencing issues. If you can't run a game, it's a problem with your system's ability to cool itself (dust, poor airflow, fans configured incorrectly) or you've got a hardware fault (i.e. dying chips get hot, a fan is broke, something needs repasting). This is a pretty demanding game, so it just happens to be what's triggering the temps to get that high. But it shouldn't be causing any temperature issues on a fully functioning system, even if it is maxing out the GPU or CPU load. Your system should be stable at max load, maybe loud and with some thermal throttling, but not crashing.

reducing the resolution, reduced the temperature significantly, and as stated before my pc is clean and has new thermal paste, my gpu is just outdated for some newer games
