I will try but you're likely right!
Have some common sense, buddy. If validation does not fix it, it's files that are not part of the actual game as it is distributed on steam. So find out what files were part of the mod and delete them, if not sure delete too many files and revalidate again. Pretty simple. No need to totally uninstall the entire game.
And yes I saw what dude above me posted, I had to say it anyway. You do not even need to know what files exactly. The quick way I would do it is just deleted all .dlls .config files and .exe files in the main game dir or some /bin dir where the main game exe is and then revalidate.
It was updated, go download the new version!
And yes it worked. Other guy wasn't being an ass with his answer though
Of course steam checks all files, missing files, wrong files ... I wound not call that smart. I wound ASSUME this, expect this from some distribution platform that lets you "revalidate" files and is 20 years old and an industry leader.
Move along.
You're not needed nor are you helping.
You're not even clever or edgy. If at least you were funny and/or entertaining. Nope. Just annoying
