has anybody found a way to save the herbalist

not just saving him , but what does he says , i gave up .. i try so many ways .. i look it up .. the hilarious thing is i couldnt replicate what i saw in the video, in my game it played out different lol
the only thing i saw , is a with a stick light it up, and then sneak to the gaurd about to kill the herbalist and stab the guard with the knife but i dont have a knife ,....so i couldnt do it

I've seen 2 YT vids showing different ways to save him, but it's a pointless waste of resources. Apparently you're not supposed to, and he doesn't even say anything, nor give you Nightshade if you do.

Here is a video that I recorded of myself saving the herbalist. It took several restarts. Yet at the end of it, he doesn't talk and you can't even go through the door.

Which annoyed me because it literally gives the objective to save the herbalist.

He can be saved , but its not intended theres neither dialogue nor a change in story if he survives.

it is story driven that he will die, but if you can save him you crash the game. There is an invisible wall in front of him. So... useless... and he is ugly... and he is a dork
