Can anyone running this on a 1060 6GB give info on performance?
I was delightfully surprised with the first game, but this one seems rather demanding on a system. To my constant surprise my ol 1060 has been handling games fine to this day, and it seems it's still the most common card in PC builds.

So I just wondered how people were finding it, or maybe I should hold off playing it until I have a new build, (and the games cheaper).

Thanks

full specs

Win 10
i5 6600k @4.6ghz
16GB DDR4 Ram
M.2 SSD

I'm running a 1060, 32 gb of ram, and a ryzen 5 3600. The game unfortunately struggled to keep 30 in the opening, so I doubt when the rats come it'll get better. I'm holding out that they will optimize the game and I'll eventually be able to run it before my next build. I guess people with higher end systems are having issues as well, so maybe.

thanks for the info, that's a shame, what kind of settings were you using? i'm assuming this is @1080p.

Do not buy a gtx 1070 instead, these card delivers a similar result ;-)

Looking further into it it seems they may have had to rush it out of the door. As it seems to perform terribly on modern consoles as well. Hopefully the refunds / people holding off will encourage them to get some performance patches out quickly.

A real shame, as this seemed like a Studio to watch. But hopefully in time they can bring it around.

I'm using a mod to convert DLSS to FSR set to performance.
Everything on High but Draw Distance and Shadow Maps.
Doing so, the game runs at 45-60FPS most of the time.

That 4-core CPU is going to melt while playing this.

As I was looking for performance experience videos for my RX5700XT I found this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQhwuo1KnEQ

This person tested it extensively with a gtx1060 ( I had a 1060 as well, before I got my 5700xt, which has served me well for years) with various settings and nice explanations along the way.
Even though the 1060 is no longer in my PC, I enjoyed watching the video, it was quite interesting to watch.

I would target something like 1080p 70-80% resolution scale and lowest settings, keep Motion Blur on to help hide the low framerate, I recommend capping to 30fps in control panel to minimize unstable framrate

Yes, I have a Galaxy GTX 1060 6GB OC on 1080p monitor.

That mod seems to be the way to go, thanks. But think i'll hold off until the devs impliment something similar themselves.

I think you'd get around 20-30 fps on Ultra or double that on Medium or Low.

I highly advise anyone looking for a GPU upgrade, assuming you have a 1060 or lower, to go for either 3050 or 3060. The least you could do is turning on DLSS for more fps with minimal visual sacrifices.

I've seen many CPU/GPU combos struggle with running the game, so it's better to wait until the devs fix the stutters.

I can't yet. Bitcoin miners made prices go way up. Just the graphic card alone is the same price of my whole pc together. So, it's not worth yet but prices are going down so it's just a matter of time.

Bummer. GPU prices crashed in my country a few weeks before the merge. I hope you snatch a good deal in the next few months.
