Bug in Chapter IX (Spoilerwarning): Can't progress anymore

When you explore the abandon alchemy lab in the mountain sanctuary you will need to interact with Hugo at the operating table to progress the story. The problem is that as soon the conversation finishes Hugo just freezes and doesn't move anymore (He does move a bit but only to "grab" Amicias hand, but is still frozen status and as soon as I move with Amicia he just stays there. I can even walk through him.).

Trying to move through the window with the curtain afterwards (where Sophia went through while Hugo and Amicia were having the conversation) only resulted in Amicia staring at the courtain, the game loading endlessly and I can't move the camera anymore. I can still pause the game, view my skills and upgrades but nothing else.

I tried reloading the checkpoint and chapter several times, even reinstalling the game, but the bug still remains. If somebody has the same issue and/or knows a solution please let me know. I really enjoyed the game so far and it would be a shame to just abandon it now because of one game breaking bug.

Try running it on low graphics preset. It worked for me.. I also did spam movement keys during the dialogue in frustration.. Not sure whether the spam or the low preset helped bt its worth a try.

Same problem for me. Stuck on endless loading. Restarting on low settings did not work. Can't spam any buttons.

I just watched a play through of this section. The problem is with Hugo. He is supposed to turn toward Amecia when they are talking at the examination table, but for me and the OP, Hugo steps back from the table, but then stays still with his hands up like he's trying to look through a pane of glass, and then when you go to the curtain, and tap Y to go through. The game freezes on loading because Hugo is stuck, and the game can't run the step through animation.

I tried my Graphics set as low as possible and same problem...I hope theres a patch or some kind of fix...HEY DEVS. PLEASE READ THESE POSTS!!!!!!!!

tried going back to the tiny throne hoping it would proc the separation and he would come to me- no luck. i am about to validate the game files but i expect that wont work. super frustrating as i cannot progress at all.

Tried un installing and re installing, didnt work. looks like we will have to wait for a patch

Yea...I just started at the beginning again and still freezes in chapter IX...If you want to see it I posted it on Youtube ( A Plague Tale Requiem Chapter IX Bug )
