Jumped on my PC (5800x, RTX 3080) and the game runs at a locked 60fps at 1440p max settings and it's fantastic. I assume your 2080Ti should be able to do the same, albeit with some settings knocked to high perhaps.
That said, it's good on any of the three you listed. You don't have a bad PC at all, so I'm sure you would be able to run it just fine and probably pull more than the Xbox's 40fps with just a few things turned down and without sacrificing anything with much impact.
Not to knock anything about the PS5 version since I'm sure it's fine, but I'd personally take a higher framerate over anything to do with the Dualsense any day of the week.
My suggestion would be to use the High Preset w/Motion Blur On 4K(DLSS Performance), cap to 40fps if your monitor/TV supports 120hz, 30fps if it's 60hz. This is a very demanding game and even though your rig is a bit more powerful than the current gen consoles it might still struggle to hit 60fps all the time, regardless of settings. I suggest 40fps at 120hz because it divides evenly into the refresh rate, so you won't get stutter from the monitor, and 40fps look and feels quite a bit smoother than 30fps, it's a nice sweet spot in heavy games these days
After some tweaking I used these settings to get 40fps on my RTX 2070 Super build at 1440p, you may tweak them a bit yourself but should be a good starting point for 4k with your build
I do not think so.
With my I7 9700K, 3080 12 GB and 32GB DDR4 3000 i can not run the game in 4K/60 even with DLSS in performance mode. But the 60 fps are not the problem, but the constant stuttering when the engine is loading assets makes the game almost unplayable. Even if you achieve 60 fps it still stutters like hell.
I got GPU-related drops when trying to target 60fps, but no streaming-related issues
Can I also try running Spiderman this way like in PS5?
I have LG C1 tv, so if I change it to gaming with VRR profile, it will be OK to run it in 40fps like this? Do I limit the FPS in game or in Nvidia settings?
I believe the PS5 versions of the Spiderman games have 120hz modes (at least a 40fps fidelity mode, possibly an unlocked VRR mode). There's also the 60fps standard and RT modes
With Plague Tale on PC you'll have to limit the fps using NVIDIA control panel, the game only has VSYNC, no in-game frame limiter
Then I changed from 40 to 120, left vsync on and turned on gsync, and the game runs at 4K 59-60 FPS 99% of the time, this is amazing.
I am glad I gave this game a chance on my PC, and the dualsense controller features are amazing. Great game.
Sure thing, even tried the game on a NVME.. no change.. constant streaming stutter when the engine loads something. A guy here in the steam forums even put the whole game into a RAM drive, and still got stutters. Has to be engine related and a big fault by the DEV´s.
The PC-version has dualsense support.
