Also the story leads you down a depressing route and ends in total depression. Nothing good ever happens except for very brief moments and that is a bit too much and you kind of wonder what was the point of it all?
In comparison with Last of Us it would be like the virus was leading you all the time, it Invented the Fireflies and Joel has to kill Ellie at the end. That's this game and no one would have been happy with such an ending...
I love this game, but it is depressing. I think a big part of that is you are essentially playing as the villains, bring plague and suffering wherever you go.
The foggy bit is the last fight of the game and by far the hardest. I ended up turning it down to easy just for this.
Somehow I found the battle before leaving the island (forgot at what point exactly) more frustrating than the beach battle but I got frustrated at a lot of points, also because I wanted to level up stealth and tried to sneak through before giving up on that and just murdering everyone.
So I agree with your statement. I also thought they should have paused the game when bringing up the menu since you have to switch weapons all the time.
What a pain.
You always run out of the resources you need.
Pots. Crossbow bolts.
The only reason I completed it was because I shot my last ignifier crossbow bolt at the last stack, and another crossbow bolt immediately appeared right in front of my nose so I could do the kill shot. Otherwise, I literally had NOTHING with which to take out the last armored foe. I had been running around for 15 minutes with one crossbow bolt, waiting for another to respawn, trying to figure out how I was supposed to deal with the last foe since it takes two - one ignifier to distract his shield, and the kill shot. I already had his armor off him but he still had his shield.
And overall, this game should seriously come with a mental health warning. This is such a staggeringly depressing storyline. And it's presented in an environment of unrelenting grisly death, filth and disease, signified by loss. And I won't spoil the end, but it's not pretty for anyone. Literally no redeeming values. What were they thinking? I don't care where they go with it from here, I am not going with them.
this game is truely GREAT.. very very rare. but that is my opinion
May holy Cow give you blessing
