I don't understand the power meter.
So if my club power is 150 yards and I hit 50% power why do I only go 60 yards with the wind?

Why is it that when I am doing a chip shot out of the rough, I full power the hit with a straight shot and the ball barely moves?

I just don't understand this game.

In this game 50% power doesn't translate to 50%. Energy impacted on a ball is equally to the mass of the club head multiplied by the square of the velocity.
The best way is to map your clubs for different power settings (especially the wedges) out of different lies as there doesn't seem to be a hard and fast formula, especially with all the other variations that different clubs and balls provide.

It's a video game.

the only club that has a straightline on the distance/power graph is the putter. All others are a curve, Also all effects, like wind, %roughs & sand, height, slope(greens).

That really doesn't explain how they work in the video game. I understand effects but in the context of the video game:

The driver shows a number of maximum yards. The tutorial says to hit the maximum yards you want 100% power. So if I am hitting a ball off the tee at 100% power with the wind at my back then the ball should fly farther.

If I am hitting a chip shot from the rough with a wedge and I hit it with 50% power then the ball should go up higher and also farther than just a couple of feet.

Why would there be an exponential power curve when they can just chart the power linearly with 50% power being 50% the distance of the club rating (in perfect conditions)??
