Best strat' for the 'Beastmasters ambushed' Mission
What is the best/safiest strat' to successfully rescue these ambushed hunters without casulaties ?

In the 'Beastmasters ambushed' Mission:

You know, you probably remember this huge wide map with these multiples waves of monsters incoming all the 3 turns. And these hidden rangers in the bushes waiting you to be rescued (as usual...).

Previously my best strat was to hit & run, to rush to rescue the hunters & to flee away to the top-right asap, avoiding all the main fights against the multiples waves coming from the left side of the map. I just eliminated the most dangerous units yet (e.q. the poisonous ranged one or units with a high movements, the Pullers/Marshbeasts or the Rhino beast if they come too close...) and I dropped some traps behind my troops to slow down the waves of monsters.

But that was the strat' BEFORE the last patch.

Devs probably considered this mission was too easy.
Now, nothing of that works anymore: you have no chance to avoid a fights with casulaties if you can't rush the objectives.
Because you have to deal with 2 waves (1 incoming wave all the 2/3 turns) from the left side of the map (the 2nd. wave is stronger than the first one) & 2 more waves from the right side (!). Add to this, you have to fight all the residents of the map on the way in the same time...
I sum up: 4 waves of 8 monsters each one, add this to the 20 units of the map = almost 50 units. It is a lot of opponents to deal against with your warband of 6...

If at the start I could deal with the residents, moving forward & killing all the fast units from the 1st.wave, the 2nd.wave finally is approching enough my warband to engage the fight. And when it happens, all the residents of the map come into the fight as well.
If I have rescued some cheap ranged, it isn't the 2 traps/turn or their weaker help that it helps me to beat off all the enemies. I am finally struggling in a endless fight, overwhelming by the number and I lost all my warband and the rescued ranged as well.

So what is you personal strat in the new version of this mission ? What is it work for you ?

Personnally at this point, the best seems be to rescue nobody at the first try, to kill the most monsters of the map (because they don't respawn), lose your warband because you can't retreat on this mission then to heal all your warband before to do again the map without all the residents.
No idea if the multiples waves will respawn in your second attempt yet...

Safest way always was full clear. Do not rush and just kill everything.

Not surprising but ok, I will try it again in this way. Thanks.
I was 'just' at the level 28 in my previous try btw...

@UnluckyNoob: Well, you had right: I didn't rush, clear all the deployment place first, & I've taken time before to rescue my first ambushed bowman hunter. After cleaning all the left side, I can put my 1st.rescue in a high elevation tile (thanks RNG of the map).
Then I have just to wait, protecting my ranged unit, alternating defensive position and offensive against the huge units of the second wave coming from the right side.
I finallly have won this fight, rescuing 2 of the 3 hidden bowman hunters.
And the reward for the tough battle was a interesting Relic ('Necro skin') that I needed in my previous run.

I think I got the best & safe strat' with your help right now. So thanks for the tips.
