thank you,
glad to hear that!
Why you don´t use the steam cloud?
And what to do with this file in order to have the saved files on a new pc?
I beat the game over a year and half ago (before official "release") and was able to access the new starts like Beasts etc (decided to move on though, but considered returning at some point in the future). Got a new gaming laptop recently and reinstalled Urtuk, and now can't access any of the new starts besides Humans (which i would not play again). Is there any solution to access the new starts? This is a big problem if one wants to keep game retention over the years for people who have progressed in the acts/beaten it, and then in the future on a new computer want to give it a go again, with different starts. If there is no solution in place, I'd advise an optional setting to "unlock all starts" (maybe with a recommendation that it only be checked if people have progressed in the game before) as a workaround for these issues. As it stands there is no chance that players like myself would get back into the game if we are being limited to just the Human start, eventhough we have unlocked everything in the past.
@SlickRounder
You see that there is no answer on my question.
My experience is, that the Developers don´t ave the time, and not enough interest in the customers communication, to solve this problem and to interact with them.
But from the human side i think, when you sell anything, it is a part of the seeling to communicate with the customers and i you made anything for more than money, than you want that the customer is happy.
When you made something for money, perhaps you want the customer happy for selling more?!
I was able to find a solution to play with the other starts. Required some digging, but basically one can edit "Global Progress" and change the zone from 1 to 4 to unlock all the other factions.
I'm glad i did it (ofcourse i wish it had been easier/simpler for those of us that beat the game during the end of Beta to be able to come back to Urtuk and have the other starts unlocked, even if we were using a new PC) since the game has been much improved since i took a hiatus right near launch. Many of the suggestions that i and others advocated for, to my surprise got added. At some point I will make a forum post and perhaps a review going over the many positive changes that have happened to Urtuk since Launch., The Dev and the beta testers did eventually listen to us, even if it seemed unlikely to happen, so we have to give them credit.
