Got it, thanks.
I was about to fight Amos, and he has the revenant tag. So I assumed they were all revenants.
Is Victor a revenant as well?
I just got him - and thank God! ;)
So I won't be recruiting Amos and Ivadd (don't like his tendency to self-torture), but keeping Victor.
What is the "right build"? There aren't many variations with ranged characters, are there?
For instance, you could double down on Bleeding Criticals and Vampire's Hunger (?? - can't remember the exact number but it gives you health for hitting bleeding targets), with a side order of Leeching Hits so that you auto-heal from every hit you make. Even if he gets surrounded, he can just leap away next turn and fully heal up after a flurry of throws, or maybe Immobilise some enemies whilst he's at it so that he can heal up slower as he relocates to a better spot.
You'd definitely want to change his Focus Ability though - Blood Strength is useful at times, but something like Aegis or Last Stand is ALWAYS better.
Got it - thanks. I re-started yet again before I tackled him. So it's going to be a while to get him now.
I guess Amos is a weird hybrid case where he is a ranged DPS who is also a quasi-tank?
Still, I wish he were not a revenant. First, I do not want to employ undead characters; second, with my sloppy newb play, I am guaranteed to get him killed at some point! ;)
Further, as a Revenant he is Bloodless and so cannot be bled, Armoured and so cannot be easily poisoned, and Valdorian so acid is useless. He has a ludicrous amount of HP for a ranged unit and cannot be shuffled into a weak spot unless you let him.
His biggest threat are leapers like Bloodknights, because their attack hits before they land in the spot next to him, and so do not trigger his Evasion trait in time to, well, evade the attack.
