Maybe Immortal or HP Relic
He’s pretty basic. I don’t bother with Light Foot
They also start with:
Feast
Mind of a cleric
and Improviser
combined that with rarity of them near combat means that that poison and bleeding is uncommon, I like light foot on them for the mobility which makes up 50% of the combat.
Atm I've been putting points into CON and VIT since they don't need stamina nor str.
I lucked out my mine has fast thinker by default as well. From the way they play so far as you said there very basic so I think
- Light foot
- CON increasing mutation
- Stalwart
- fast thinker if you don't get it by default
those seem to be definites, looking at the swamp shaman vs the priest it's a bit of a toss up on which one is "better". The priest might actually be better since their healing is % based on their own health and is instant instead of happening on buffed units next turn.
But the shaman seems the better supporter? Since when there is no one to heal berserk can be used to give another unit another attack (stamina willing) as well as the plethora of self heal. Then again lead is also a very good ability, if Aegis was swapped out for berserk or some kind of self heal I think the priest might actually be better.
Something to think about next play through if I lose this one.
He comes with Improviser, Fast Thinker, and Cleric in Desolation so he can only gain Brilliant Mind and Genius. He isn’t wasting my Genius Mutator, that leaves Brilliant Mind and 4 slots including his weapon. It’s hard not to take Stalwart and Natural Resistance. You do you though.
I'm not worried about Desolation since I'm on adventure and generally only play games once. ( I get there is replayability I just tend to get bored after learning the story of a game the first time )
ended up trashing Relic of Mockery, it was annoying to use and I needed some LE at the last moment for another mutation.
