I've been having a blast with this hex crawler
It reminds of the Old School Revival D&D like DCC, MCC, Purple Planet, Carcosa, or even GURPS. I think it's the first time I've seen a game built around hex-crawling....and it's about time!

So many good tactical games on PC use hex grid before this game exist. Which world you stay at before saw this game at first one? Paper&Pen world before move to electronic world recently?

Another hex strategy game, Vantage Master Japan (sadly not sold on any digital platform), has the best AI of all strategy games I've ever played, in addition to its fantastic depth of gameplay, fascinating music, and decent art. Urtuk has its own unique, addictive RPG element though.

I've sent plenty of combat games with top-level, but not hex-based and not like this. I'm not really sure what other game you're referring to that is like this one. If it's out there, I've never seen it. I've only see it with pen and paper games.

It's not for sale - but it's freeware:

No idea if you know about this but figured I'd share. :)
