Is it normal that update resets unlocks?

I had already beaten the game and thus unlocked everything, but after the last update it's as if everything was back to square zero. Even my settings were reset to default. What gives?

unfortunatelly yes, it can be that case.

You can overwrite the progress with this:
just open the global-progress.bin (not global-settings) in text editor and copy paste this:


{zoneMaxTier_internal:4,gameWonMaxDifficulty_internal:2,totalLevelUPs_internal:1000}
