Bug Report Thread

I always take care to test the game so it contains as few bugs as possible, but sometimes they do sneak in. To make it a bit easier to report them, here's a central thread to report any bug you might find. Please share as much info as you can to make it easier to track down and fix your bug. If your bug makes the whole game freeze, please also try pressing Ctrl+F12, clicking on Console, and copying any error you might find.

Thanks for letting me know! Which Windows version are you on? I've heard this once before, then it just worked to restart the computer, so you might be able to try that.

Possibly unwanted behavior: I have discovered that the treehouses on the redwood tree do not connect to the neighboring blocks; so it is not possible to link a bridge to the treehouse, build a platform with a teleporter next to it, or the like. (The inhabitants always have to climb all the way down to the root of the tree.) So as a result if you grow the tree particularly tall, it will only serve to get in the way. Thanks for the feedback, this is how I intended it (the treehouses are more flavor than really efficient anyway, and it doesn't really look like you could safely move to adjacent buildings), but I might be able to change if a lot of people want it.

I have now discovered a real bug: bad display of text when showing results of a space mission. "Your miners found a fossil! They also gathered [0] stone." https://app.box.com/s/wpl1coyo7nqj2uwvtvfc3x005z1wiepy

[edit] It seems to me that you don't actually get any stone!

One more bug: the 'Highlight buildings' option does not offer to highlight seasonal buildings (like Haunted Laboratory) which exist in town but aren't available to build.

Does it not work even when you restart the game? If so, please send me your save file and I'll take a look (you can export it in the menu and send it to info - at - florianvanstrien - dot - nl)

I just bought the game today, whenever I play the game nothing appears. The game doesn't seem to run, though according to steam it is running. Nothing in task manager at all. Windows 11, I have restarted my PC and reinstalled the game twice.

Sorry I forgot to respond, Steam has a bad system for forum notifications when I just want to be notified if I get a reply otherwise be notified everytime a post is sent.
My fix was that my antivirus was apparently blocking the game trying to access a file. Allowing it caused it to launch properly.

I'm not sure how this happened or how to replicate it, but I sent 100 citizens to my Rock World city, and they all spawned below the world. When I switched back to my main city and then to the Rock world, it was fine. I just thought it was hilarious

Sorry for the incredibly delayed response. I am on windows 10, and restarting does not work.

Not a crash but a "won't close". I think it's the steam interface more than anything, but when I close the game (no matter what way i close it. from hitting x, to right click stopping in steam library, to selecting quit game from in game menu) it won't stop the game. it just says "stopping" in the steam library until i force quit steam itself. and I also cannot reopen the game until i do the force quit of steam.
