If it is just new images for UI - then its not even improvement

i bet game still have no contextual actions and
require 20 separate commands for 20 similar functions... (it Pre-2000 era - sorry)

Played Wurm for 9 years. It is a game that receives constant updates from a great development team. Looking forward to seeing the latest inception.

curious are we able to login our character or have to make a new one?

Default actions are part of the improvement, along with better interactions with the world, including dragging items to containers without needing to open windows

Steam accounts will not be able to login to existing characters and vice versa. The first party system will still work.

The new servers launched alongside the steam launch will only be accessible by new characters, created via Steam or the first party system

That's exactly what it is. Although now there is zero economy left in the game, Due to codeclub destroying the few ways that players could make money.
