Series of questions

I was unable to find a clear answer to the following questions on the wiki.
I am asking here because I am too lazy to find my old account and ask on the offical website.
Also I am playing Unlimited but I am asking here in hopes for more visiablity

1. I am trying to make Fruit Jam but it says I have too much maple syrup in the sauce pan. So how do I split or make less maple syrup? I tried putting some on a plate but that too was too much.
2. My hot food cooking skill is 23. If I make a breakfast the skill level is lower then 23. If I make any meal with meat in it, the skill level is 45. I would love to find a dish that is more like 35 on skill level.
3. I have a young cow, I cant seem to milk her, does she need to be older?
4. I have a young cow and an adolesent bull, they will not mate...too young?

3. i didnt thought age would matter except from how mutch milk you could get, i may be wrong and you need to wait, in that case its to young and need to be adolesent.
4. Yes, need to be adolesent stage 2.

3. to be clear, its not the amount, its that the option to milk never shows up. i have never seen such option

i did that...hmmm..in frying pan I assume.
maybe it was not the correct amount of salt.
