Large Cart Speed

What affects how fast my large cart can move?

I put two horses on it and I move at most at 10.50 km/h

I can't outrun any enemies at this speed.

I can run faster without the cart!

Is there some way to make it go faster?

Did you try putting horseshoes on your horses? I'm not sure if it will help but maybe you could try? :)

To run faster then a Cart is absolutly normal, with ql 50 Horseshoes my Card makes ~12km/h on flat ground

Hm.

Well I'm getting eaten by wolves or hellhounds and mountain cats while I drive around on the cart. What do I do against that? Sometimes even trolls can catch up to me.

try diff horses with a few speeds

If I remember correctly, you want positive horse traits, horse shoes (QL50+) and a higher quality cart in 10s of QL.

You can go faster by playing Wurm Unlimited where cart speeds can be modified to go faster. ;)
