Panzer Dragoon: Remake

Panzer Dragoon: Remake

Is Zwei still in development?
I was seeing stuff on Reddit that the remake sequel is apparently canceled? Not the best source of information, but was hoping to hear it directly from the developers themselves, and they are pretty active on this quiet forum.

In the Megapixel Studio official web page "https://megapixel-studio.com/premiery,5,pl" Its still in there future projects page. also in the Panzer Draggon Legacy page, a very good sorce in all Panzer Dragoon related stuff there is a article warning about false information about cancelation. "https://www.panzerdragoonlegacy.com/news/panzer-dragoon-ii-zwei-remake-is-still-in-development"

Let's hope not.

This is the same dev group that said they were remaking HotD 1 years ago and took them 5 years to make it and release it WHILE making Panzer Dragoon Remake.

I gotta assume MegaPixel is a relatively small group if it takes them that long to make and release games. They also said they're remaking HotD 2, so it's gonna take them a long time to make either, most likely.

Unless the studio gets closed down for some reason, you just gotta have patience.

Why not?

Because every remake this developer has done so far has been god awful.

In which way? HotD Remake is quite competent (especially compared to the Saturn port that was nerfed compared to the arcade one) and kept the gore and dismemberment unlike the more recent entries.

Read some of the negative reviews and find out.

First game probably didn't perform well enough to justify a sequel remake. The support for this game is equally bad. I have to turn on my XB1 controller after launching the game in order for it to detect.

Yeah, pretty much everything I'd heard about the PD remake was, "it's awful," only to years later receive the wisdom, "the PC port is actually playable, though."

Given how big the console market is, I would not make any assumptions about a Zwei remake actually being in the cards.

Yeah it seems like at this point the sequel getting a remake is not happening.

What is awful about the PD remake then ? It plays like the original with new graphics and music, did you expect it to be a new game ? lol.

It plays worse than the original, it's buggy, the new graphics don't respect the art direction of the original.

What bugs ? And the controls seem the same to me. You spin the camera and move the dragon slightly.

As for art direction, that also seems similar enough, even if not the same.

I think most issues are not true issues as some make it seem.

Your rate of fire is slower, enemy AI is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and not nearly as aggressive, music fails to loop properly, etc.

The art direction isn't similar "enough".

Art Direction can change with remakes because it's a different vision.

I mean Black Mesa has a different style than Half-Life as well.

Most remakes are different art style wise.
