As for is that better than the Azure Dreams, it's pretty much on the same par regarding the gameplay entertainment but ToFDoF has much more variety in dungeons and game mechanics, like having allies or using trapper armband.
ive been trying to find a game that can hold a candle it to,
was googleing games like it when i came across this and dungeon dreams,
so i was just wondering could anyone tell me how much of the game is like AD ?
google said games like dark cloud and rune factory are like them.....
but in my opinion they arent even close to being like it :<
How I wish there is a Azure Dreams remake/remaster.
truer things have never been wished :)
I would say things that matter to me -
In Azure you always have the "emergency option" of picking up and chucking monsters, while in Shiren, if you run out of resources, you REALLY run out of them.
Monsters in Shiren are more memorable special ability wise, REALLY more Memorable.
Shiren has faster animations which matters a lot culmatilvely over 99 floors
Some dungeons in Shiren kind of "overfocus" on the players ability to identify items early - its fun to a point but other times getting anti-fire/anti explosion is forced at gunpoint because doing 8 floors in a row with the applicable enemy isn't going to happen.
Shiren has 30 dungeons (counting the Story Dungeons as a single 35 floor dungeon) - 5 with carry in items, the rest putting you in the pure Level 1 + single food start. I think the single megadungeon is the most important over all the gimmick dungons in any game of this type, but it is nice to have the options there.
Shiren's Story mode doesnt showcase where the game goes very well (mostly level 2 monsters at end) it is a major shock to find out about the "Floor Wide Monster abilities" compared to the "Room Wide" ones if you aren't expecting it, and permenat item destruction via Grass King / Onigiri King transforming things start to reinforce the "have a backup plan for your backup plan" mentality.
I like Azure Dreams because everything more or less builds on what came before, but I got to give props to Shiren's pulling the rug out from under you again and again.

dungeon dreams 1 already released and dungeon dreams 2 is now in beta test once beta test is over it will be released, dungeon dreams 2 is better then dungeon dreams 1, but both of them are nice
