If you are the leader later on you get some more temmates to control. At the start, i only get a single helper, he had to do much pulling tho.
I let him ride at like 65-70 cursor effort to keep the gap at like 3 min. all 40 km let him grab water and regenerate a bit. While that go to the front yourself at like 59-63 and wait him to come back. When you bring the peleton to the last 30 km of a flat stage THEN ya opponents of the other teams mostly take over and you can prepare for the finish.
In short: Try to hold the gap at 2.30 -3 min no need to pull harder since the front group will react below that difference too and speed up on their own and you only have a single guy..
Maybe a last one: Once you get the option for helpers, grab 2 lowie riders and assign them, you get the control about them from thoat point on mostly
Hope it helps!
If you wanna make in to the breakaway just follow the attack of the rider and given you are not the race favorite you will be able to make it.
Sprint and climb are very different in finishes if it is a flat finish just stay relative front of the group till 1.5km not at the exact front, follow a sprint train, after that if u have full redbar you can attack after 1.5km before that you wont be able to hold off.
Climb is different, stay in the front of the group in the final kilometers sprint after 1km mark even less i would say depending on the level of red you have.
Hope this helps!
