This is why I ask for help because I am really a neophyte and I would like to know what types of races (cobblestone, classic, mountain) would be the easiest for me to learn, and above all, what type of cyclist.
Thank you in advance for your help !
Sorry for my English, I speak French
Sprinter - This is probably easiest to learn. Flat stages are easy to survive and you can sprint in the last few kilometres. You will need to learn to position a little bit, but wins will come quite early. Downside of the sprinter is that it is repetitive.
Stage racer - One of the most all-round and fun things to choose. You will always try to win the overall classification. Climbing is a big part of being a stage racer and also you will learn to properly race in time trials. You will also need to learn about spending your energy wisely, which will benefit your overall feeling for the game. You need to be awake in every stage and not needlessly lose time on some of the easier stages. Biggest downside here is the changes of winning flat and to some degree hilly stages are almost impossible and they are the most common stages.
Climber - Is a lot like stage racer but a bit weaker. Gives fun challenges later on.
Puncher - One of the most fun to play with, but in my opinion a bit too advanced for a starting player.
Northern Classics - The most awesome specilization, but also quite advanced.
Time Trial and Baroudeur - look so boring to me that I have never bothered. They are good riders to have in your team during a career. Not for pro cyclist though.
Starting with Stage racer/Sprinter would probably be a good start. Focus on attribute upgrades when levelling up and leave the potential upgrades for later. Most important to get high (80+) mountain, also upgrade time trial, hills and acceleration stats to at least 75+. Flat also is somewhat important to get to 70+. Your goals are to win the three Grand tours (Giro, Tour, Vuelta). If you manage all that you should be fine.
Good luck!
I started doing some simple races to try to understand the mechanics of the game and I know that I will love the world of bike racing and especially play it.
Thank you very much friend!
Good game for you !
