Game is not opening

When opening the game, it says "syncing". Then the game's opening box appears. And when I press play, the screen turns black, then the game does not open. The black screen disappears and throws it on the desktop. how can i fix this?

I deleted and reinstalled multiple times. loading: microsoft directx for windows 10 message appears. And then when I press play, the game does not open.

do you have the file /Documents/My Games/ICBM/Fatal.txt ? What's in it?

Also, I'd recommend deleting the file C:\Users\MONSTER\Documents\My Games\ICBM\icbm.cfg

I solved the problem. It was because I did not install directx.
