Any Chance of Co-Op?

My 6yo got this game not long ago on the Xbox, and he is always asking me to play WITH him and doesn't quite "get" why I can't just jump into his game. Though I'm sure it's probably a big deal coding-wise to allow local or online multiplayer, I think narratively it would be easy enough to say that the 2nd cat is just a local outdoor/stray cat helping the main character get home more actively than the NPCs are.

Alternatively an online sandbox mode where it's just 2 cats roaming around the map causing chaos, but I get how that's a totally different game at that point.

I was going to ask about a future co-op mode for the game as well. Glad I was beaten to the punch here lol.

I think it would be really cool if they added one. Heck even if someone were to make a mod for it, like BombRush Cyberfunk has for online play. I still think that'd be pretty sweet too.
