Missing Bone

I found a bone, I found a dog, I tried to give the dog the bone, then I noticed the plate, the bone is gone! it disappeared as I tried to feed the dog directly, the bone did not respawn, loaded a previous save but the bone is not respawned, should I start over?

Try looking around, when the dog barks it can send it flying, I found it on the stairs!

Ok, I didn't find the bone, and it blocked my progress, so I restarted the game over, I wasn't very deep into the game, just 20 minutes of gameplay :3

the game gives you some ways to progress, to bypass the hostile dog you can use bone or you can use a dog hat after you visit Tanuki and go back to the first house to find a friendly dog quest to unlock the dog hat.

Strangely enough I actually found four bones, but there's three dogs, so I just have an extra bone in an alleyway somewhere. I think it just duplicated one of the bones so I don't think this is a fix for your situation, just found it weird
(maybe I should take that bone to my home base apartment as a souvenir)

Same.
There's a bone on some pipes in the ground. went to go pick it up and it clipped through the ground. Game restart didn't respawn it unfortunately. :/
