Local Celebrity Photograph Problem

I've been trying to get the Local Celebrity achievement. While it is difficult to get photographed, I *can* get it to happen. However, my in-game photograph counter is stuck at 3, no matter how many people take a picture of me. Steam's achievement counts my photographs at only 1. I don't know how to fix this and progress with the achievement.

Try doing it on the corner that connects the construction site, the fruit stand, and is just south of where you give crow 25 shinies for a fish. Face north, get a cute hat on, and do a cute emote (like making muffins). Face north as you emote on the sidewalk. And meow at anyone with a phone. Mentally keep track of the photos taken.

If that doesn't work, try a new save, get a cute hat and repeat.

I have tried the corner trick, and it works in theory- people do take pictures- but the game doesn't count them. Unfortunately, I got all the hats before I started working on this achievement, so I can't get anymore. If you mean start an entirely new save file, maybe that'll work. It's frustrating that I have to, but I'll give it a shot.

I did have to make a new save, but I was able to get the achievement that way. Thank you!
