Can't seem to jump high/far enough

right now i'm at the area with the orange cat helping you catch birds, I noticed a path to walk on at the left building next to you but for the life of me I can NOT get on it, no matter from where I jump :/

EDIT: found the way but I gave yup. the jumping system is far too complicated and hard to get right, i fell about a 100 times before just shutting the game completely. so sad cuz the idea is lovely.

It's likely the fact that this is a demo, and you may need to have other skills only available in the full game. Or, you need to look at other ways to get to that area... also it's right next to a blocked-off area and not really needed to be up there at all.

Cats jumping high should not be a perk that you need to upgrade, they jump high naturally. It took me right out of the game immediately. I would suggest that if perks are going to be added don't cap the natural abilities of cats IMHO.

Not sure on controller as I don't have one, but on the PC you hold space and use the arrow keys to choose where you want to jump...
