Try switching the resolution from full screen to windowed and scaling the resolution down:

You can also try disabling cloud saves and deleting previous saves files in this directory:
Windows:
MacOS:
The game doesn't have that many settings to tinker with and the game itself is coded in Unity. I wonder if another program is interfering, like a firewall or something else running in background.
I did forget to mention it was in windowed mode by default when first playing. I deleted whatever auto save was in the saves folder, disabled cloud, and it still freezes upon doing anything or even just letting the game sit there. And for me it doesn't take too long to load, and did check my firewall last night and it's allowed through, so i'm not sure what else could be interfering with it...its only this game I've had this problem for. Even changed Screen Resolution and same things still happens.
(Edit)
I've even reinstalled steam and it still freezes upon trying to create a character or if i let the game sit there.
Couldn't find anything on this forum about this issue. Might be only specific to this game or it might affect other Unity games as well.
soo im not sure if this enough/correct or if i need to post more?
CPU
AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics
RAM
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 32.0 GB
GPU
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660
You might also have to tinker with power saving modes. Seems like "Power saving" defaults to integrated graphics while "High performance" defaults to dedicated GPU. You can set these modes for each game from "Graphic settings" menu in Windows:

Unfortunately that did not help at all for me, followed and did everything in the video you provided, here is a video of what i am talking about what it does for me. https://youtu.be/UU2NjeiD3Ew, it basically becomes unresponsive besides sound. but the task manager never shows it stopped working.
I tried messing around with NVIDIA control panel settings but nothing worked for it and my nvidia control panel does not have the option to set preferred graphics processor.
Hopefully the developer sees this thread and is able to provide more insight or someone else who has firsthand experienced this problem and solved it.
I can't recall trying the max frame rate or if i set it to 60, just tried it and still same results....i just want to play the dang game :( and for whatever reason, i cannot, be it unity engine or what....
