multiplayer on PC LAN?

I have Gigantosaurus The Game from HumbleBundle, on Steam, installed on 2 PCs. One PC is running the game on WINE on Linux, the other is Windows 10. No, I don't have game controllers. I use the keyboard. I don't have an Xbox, PlayStation, or any other console, and am not familiar with how those devices handle multiplayer. I supposed it was multiple consoles on a LAN, but I don't know, maybe it's multiple controllers (and multiple screens?) on one console?

I have read that the way to use a multiplayer networked game under Steam is to "Go Offline" with Steam. This I have done. But now, there seems no way for the 2 computers to run one game so 2 players can play together. They can only play completely separate solo games. Can run 2 solo games at the same time, but can't play multiplayer.

Gigantosaurus The Game does not include online. What it does have is 'Remote Play Together'. You can see how it works and how to activate this feature at the following link:

The only issue is that we don't test games on Linux and we don't know if Steam will support it for Remote Play Together.
