Report a translation problem
Welll.... We're talking an RPG here, right? This game has the ammount of text enough to make you spend around 40 hours playing it without rushing it. This is not the ammount of text that could be done in one week or a month either. And, 'cheap' or not, translating has a cost. LEgend of Mana is a beloved game, and I've never seen any Portuguese mod patch for the PS1 iso on the net for example, and the ones who tried to do it for Breath of Fire 4 are incomplete to this date.
Every language has it's own problems with adaptation too. I'm not saying you're wrong in wanting more languages, but I'm saying that saying it's easy and fast to translate a game and adapt the text to match the meaning of the words to the other language is a bit of a stretch.
Modders will be able to release extra languages if they want, will they though?
I doubt Square will do it though, apart of what's being told to us on the Nintendo Direct, the Oficial Trailer, Steam page and Oficial Mana Series Twitter; I wouldn't expect anything more.
No hope...?
Square Enix never does Hindi while Russian and Portuguese are mainly for major titles.
In regards to Italian, I have no idea why Square Enix refuses to support the Mana series in Italian. Take a look, Secret of Mana and Trials of Mana are available in all standard languages except Italian.
