Initiating the Lost Princess quest

I'm following this guide:

And I can't seem to flag the Lost Princess quest. I want to keep following the guide so I don't miss out on any quest because I placed my land in the wrong area. Any ideas?

Lost Princess should have proc'd immediately upon entering Mekiv Caverns. If you had done other events before finishing Lost Princess, there's a chance that you did one that skipped Lost Princess event since that can happen.

I don't have Mekiv Caverns, Rachel won't give me the Jade egg.

Oh that's because you need Elazul in your party. In order to get him if you missed out during the conversation with Rachel, go to the marketplace and then head out the SW door. Elazul will show up and choose "Take him with you", then go back to Rachel and she'll give you the egg.

Or, if you followed the guide (and thus likely told Elazul "no" when he tried to join you on Domina's map), you can find him inside the cafe where Rachel works, on the right-hand side. He'll join you there, and then you can talk to Rachel to get the Jade Egg.

too bad its a bad guide thats oftentimes wrong because its going off the copy/pasted gamefaqs guides that are based on the japanese release.

I guess I'll just have to give up on the guide and just play through it. I played through the game many years ago on PSX and just didn't want to miss anything

I feel like I've seen Elazul or someone in the upper area of the tavern before. Could he be hiding up there? Did you enter the Tower of Leires already somehow?

I did enter the tower, but only after I was not able to get Elazul to show up.

I did enter the tower, but only after I was not able to get Elazul to show up.

if you saw pearl there, then youve already gone too far as thats the second of her quests. chances are you missed the event (all of pearls events are missable), and wont be able to do it till the next playthrough. dont worry though, theres literally no character development or anything of consequence that happens, so you didnt miss anything.

i dont believe so. there should be 2-3 other quests that (can) give the egg, but they seem to have changed some of the secondary rewards around for this version, for example i cant seem to get the broken doll even though ive gone through every event which is supposed to give it. though it could just be a bug.

You get the Jade Egg at the end of The Lucky Clover if you didn't have it. You'll have to enter Mekiv Caverns and leave to make Elazul show up for the following event.

yup. none of those gave me a broken doll. im well aware of where it should drop, even though #3 is actually just on the japanese version, but i havent gotten one.
