Starting relics

Can someone explain how to equip relics when I start a new run. The Imprisoned said that I can have up to 2 relics when i start a run, but I can't find where to select them.

It's the keys you're spending soul coins on. Each time you unlock a new relic with imprisoned boi you take those into the next run, but only the final 2

Yeah. Once you unlock a relic from him, you are allowed to do a run with it. Like a trial. You can only bring 2 at a time. If you don't have anything to buy from him, then you'll have to rely on Tickets that has relics on them (which bypasses the "Max 2 Relics" rule). If you buy a 3rd relic from him, the first one you bought will just get put into the loot pool for the future runs.
