Noticed the Pixel Remaster FOV has been reduced compared to the SNES original. Is there a way to fix this?
I'm wanting to play the Pixel Remaster, but the FOV has been reduced and the character size increased so much, that it looks like the overworld is "zoomed in." I can't enjoy the game like this, has anyone else noticed this? Is it possible to fix it?

I've tried changing the aspect ratio to 4:3, but that doesn't increase the FOV
sad but true
I think that's because they took the gba games as reference to make these remasters, and in these games the FOV also is reduced because the GBA have a lower resolution than SNES

On a related note, you can see that the battle screens have larger resolution than the navigation screens. I noticed this because on the battle screens the characters look significally smaller (kind of like the image references you showed)

I'm not sure but i think this is the same for all PR games, but on VI is notorious because the characters use the same sprites for navigation and battle screens

It's a small price to pay so we can have widescreen support.

Thanks for the comparison screenshot, that actually tells me a lot. It looks to me like even though the vertical space is a couple tiles smaller, the horizontal space is about four tiles wider. So it's simultaneously less and more detailed.

I've been on the fence about getting this version, but I think I'll give it a shot, probably with some mods to adjust the palette.
