Possible to save cid in pixel remaster? [spoilers]
I only talked to him once then went to check fish but they were the wrong kind so I went back to talk to Cid a second time but he was already dead... ? I didn't feed him any bad fish and it only took like 30 seconds total. I thought you were supposed to have 120?

Ok nvm the guide is full of crap "fast fish" this, "slow fish" that... You just always use the same 1-2 fish that are always in the exact same spot(s) and also always feed him both if they are there.

Also it seems like talking to him right away after leaving and coming back without any fish will insta kill him for whatever reason.

So there are 3 kinds of fish, each one gives different number of hitpoints essentially. If you are getting only the slow fish, his life will drain faster than you can feed him bad fish. If you get the medium fish, you can save him if you are fast, but it will take a long time. If you feed him just the fast fish, it goes pretty quick. If you are able to get the medium and fast fish within like 2-3 seconds of each other, that is the optimal way to save him.

4 kinds of fish, need to let Cid live to be able to get them all, he wont die until you feed him, and when he dies you can't get more, since they are spawned by talking to him.

Yeah. the "faster fish" generally spawn in the same spot when 3-4 fish spawn. The guide is right, but the spawns aren't randomised.

I don't even know why people want to save Cid when kill him has the better outcome and canon to the plot. For those who says it isn't. Tell me how did Celes get Locke's Bandana in the end if he never got it from the bird that saved her? Thought so.

in the snes version you could just leave the fishing area, without entering the house or talking to Cid. You could even exit to the world map. As far as I know Cid's status doesn't advance unless you enter the house. If the fish spawn doesn't change, then just step outside to the world map and then walk back to the fishing spot. That way I only fed Cid fast fish. Unless they changed things for this version?
