"Remastered" Music

Since my childhood I'm absolutely in love with the Music of FF6. But to me the "remastered" Soundtrack feels like they took every single song which was already perfect and just made it worse. Why? And if you're doing a new version of the music, why not provide an option for the "original" version.

Why even change something that was perfect already... "Ultimate version" , yeah right.

If someone prefers the new versions, fine, but they should really give you an option there, same with the graphics...

Nope. You might be thinking of the bonus you get for the bundle (or pre-ordering) which has a mini-soundtrack of original music that crossfades into the new one, but that's outside the game.

nah, I guess I was thinking of the Secret of Mana remaster from a few years ago. I also have the FF IV 3D remake but I can't remember if that had a toggle for music or not

I agree w the music being unsettling. Not only the character of the sound was changed but the mix and the arrangement have been altered. Phrases once prominent are only heard if u "squint" yr ears...
I wish there were an option

There will be, the console versions are touting the ability to switch between new and old, so I'm assuming that will be patched through
