This achievement seems like it's going to be a tricky one to get, especially given that the controls list on the pause screen obscures the slot reels.

Auto-battling with Setzer on Slot will generate a random result, it seems... but while I've managed to get the bad version of Joker's Death several times, still no luck on the real deal.

yeah we can get the bad Joker's death seems the real one is around 1-2 % even on automatic battle

while the bad one is around 7-8 %

FYI Confirmed you can get the achievement from auto-battle - just be prepared to reload a bunch on 7-7-bar.

You can't use the pause trick to get it. Its not because its obscured, its because it will force the third slot to go to diamond if you were to get the 7. You can get it in auto-battle for sure, its just a rare one. You'll likely have the bad version kill your party many times before you get the good version. I personally trusted the odds of getting it in auto-battle out of fear that my skill in slots might have interfered with the odds of rolling 777. Maybe I am paranoid though.

I used the Pause trick to get this Achievement. The third slot is the hardest, you're right, it will mostly go to diamond but with right timing, you can get luck with it.

I wonder if its a case of rolling the odds on that final slot, or if the window is extremely tight. Like if you can consistently get 777, we know it can be gamed. If you are just increasing your odds because you took care of 77 and the final one is still purely by chance, then that is another story. For me I would get way too worried that I was actually interfering with my chances if I took a purely luck based roll and turned it into a skill based one that I seem to always goof.

I think I’ve gotten more Game Overs in the Pixel Remaster than all other versions combined because of this confounded Achievement. Can’t wait to get it and be done with Slots.

Got it! Never have to worry about Slots ever again…although, thanks to Auto-Battle, it’s easier to get better results with Slots than in other versions. Now I’m torn.

Exactly. Once I was finally done a weight was lifted, but it leaves you with that gambling hunger. Does great damage and you only die like 1/10 of the time... I like those odds.

The third slot isn't any more difficulty in timing, it's just that there's a 31/32 chance that even if you get the timing right, it will force it to skip past the 7 to the diamond. You have to land that 1/32 chance for your timing to matter and then it's just as easy as the first 2 slots

I've gotten Joker's Death on auto battle but still don't have the achievement. Is this a bug?

Here's the thing about the pause trick (even though the pause screen obscures the slots, you can get used to it and work around it):

When I get the first two 7's, then the final slot lands on diamond. If I get the first 7 and miss the second 7, then I can easily get the third slot to end on a 7.

At first I thought this was human error, but it's happened so consistently that I am pretty sure the game is messing with my emotions.

It is. The game disallows a final 7 about 50% of the time, and 100% of the time in certain fights.
