Looks like less detail to me...
And again, why would I pay money for a clearly inferior version of the game with LESS content...
If modders actually insert all the added content of prior remakes, I might consider buying this then, but until then it just looks like inferior versions of the games being sold for a stupid price.
As for less content, that is 100% an assumption. We won’t actually know ti tomorrow, and there’s evidence they have in fact made additional changes, like adding magic recovery items to the first game, substancislly changing the gameplay.
Will see, but sprites look like ♥♥♥♥ comparatively as far as I am concerned and I don't have high hopes for any of the bonus content.
If I am wrong and they actually have all the bonus content, than I will be pleasantly surprised and come back to this topic and admit my assumptions were incorrect.
Why do you want the added content? It sucked like the 1997 re-release of Star Wars.
Anyway, if you want the added content version, then just buy that version.
I am not, if you look at the websites posted, they are comparing the same games to the same games...
As for the added content, I disagree that it sucked, it allowed me to spend even more time in the game and get rewarded for it. I see no sucking at all there...
And I also have all the versions of the games with the added content, this remake looks like crap though.
You clearly don't like extra content, and refuse to see the difference in character detail between the sprites. which is odd because you made a topic comparing them. At least Gabby has some real points...
Maybe for you the art is style thing and you prefer the washed out style they are presenting, but I am not a fan at all
Edit:
I think this is a style preference and I personally HATE the new style.
This person from your own topic is able to explain what I am referring to better than I was:

Btw, the visuals were supposed to look "washed out" on an old CRT screen. Those are the intended colors in the Pixel Remaster.
Rhyagelle was able to explain my concern better and I quoted his post.
Losing definition in favor of a blurry blended look is NOT an improvement.
At least when it comes to pixel style games.
