Alright let's see if we can find anything that is different here from other versions.

One thing I'm curious on is the experience rate. Since they tweaked it for FFIV's PR from what I understand, and essentially halved experience requirements for levels.

From a cursory look at FFV's PR, experience rates are matching up with older wiki entries, along with the exp that enemies drop--so I wonder if it was kept the same for this release? Someone more versed in FFV would have to say if that was the case though

Well from what I've had a look at was that you can see your stat increases when levelling up... curious how this works with the job system.

What? Stats didn't increase on level in FFV. If they do now, that's already a massive change.

Or they originally didn't allow you to see them until you go into menu and check... but freelance has HP and MP increases so far, i haven't gotten to the first crystal jobs.

Only HP and MP increase after leveling when you have a job equipped

Equipping magic to melee classes doesnt boost the MP total anymore....unless you level up, then it corrects itself. Seems like a bug to be patched.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the core stats. Each character has a fixed, base value for strength/agility/stamina/magic that never increases through levels. Jobs and equipment just add to those values.

HP/MP are derived from Stamina/Magic, with a multiplier based on character level. Changing the core stats will change the stuff derived from them, so you don't permanently end up with lower HP if you level as a low Stamina job like you did in FFIII.

In FF5 SNES and the PSX release you can go to the Settings and assign characters slots to a particular controller. This lets you effectively play two player. (See: https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Multiplayer#Final_Fantasy_V). Given the job system it is actually really fun to "co-op" this FF game. Does this new remaster have any such option?

The gba content 100% didn't make it in correct?

Did anyone get to the second crystal or farther already and can confirm if the jobs were rebalanced in any way? The FF3 jobs got a slight makeover, which allows the player to finish that game without 100% sages and ninjas in the party. I wonder if they made some changes here too. The Berserker and Tamer could use a buff.

The World Map you get in the ship graveyard is now a reusable item in the menu that acts as the Sight spell in the other remasters; aka shows all the grey dots on the map.

Is Dancer good yet?

Seeing as EXP requirements seems to be true to the original game, are shop prices and such the same, too? I recall they'd been tweaked in earlier FF PRs, but maybe they were a lot more faithful with the raw numbers in this port--perhaps due to feedback, or they just felt that these later games were already balanced towards the easier side as it was so didn't need to tweak further.

For the first town spells and items all cost the same. No adjustment there.

When finding king Tycoon's helmet you recieve a Mythril Helmet, pretty sure that did not happened in the original, also de enemy item drop rate seems increased, boss fights always seem to drop the item bosses carry (If this applies for Twintania's Tinkerbell, thank God, maybe this will be my first tike getting the Gaia Hammer from Titan) Also when you buy in Karnak before getting captured by the soldiers you actually get that one item you where trying to buy.

Many differences seem to be there to make the game easier.
