Also, if you haven't spoken to FuSoYa and done the Giant of Babil yet, do the Sylph Summon sidequest ASAP before talking to FuSoYa, or else you lock yourself out of that permanently. (This is why it's good to keep multiple saves at different points in the game in case you miss ♥♥♥♥ like that)
Not true, you can still get the Sylph Summon after the Giant. You just miss the extra bit with the items.
The only thing that you can lock yourself out of in this game are chests and bestiary entries you missed in one time only dungeons and that kitchen knife..... The rest of it is pretty much accessible the whole way through.
Actually you don't lose it in the after-credits save in IV PR. (your inventory is restored to how it was before the fight began)
